Olympic Torch passes Hilden House

Olympic Torch passing Hilden House

The atmosphere here at Hilden House was buzzing last Wednesday afternoon on Day Five of the Olympic Torch relay, which saw the Flame start its 140 mile journey from Bristol, passing over the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, and arriving that evening at Cheltenham Racecourse carried by Zara Phillips on Toytown. We were all in prime position on the front lawn here at Hilden House where guests and friends were able to soak up the sunshine and excitement with a glass of wine or two! It was a very special moment when we finally got to see the Olympic Torch pass down Evesham Road, being proudly carried by an elderly lady, who was one of the 129 inspirational Torchbearers on Day Five.

We have chatted to so many people in our region who have enjoyed seeing the Olympic Flame during the first 10 days of its journey. It is good to see the Olympic excitement now begin to grow in anticipation of The Games later in the Summer! Visit http://www.london2012.com/ to follow The Torch.
