have a look at Hilden House’s excellent Press Reviews

Here at Hilden House we are very proud to have recently received some very rewarding reviews in the press.   Monmouthshire Countrylife gave us a glowing write up in their May edition touting Hilden House as the ideal base to explore Cheltenham – see the attached link to the full article www.monmouthshirecountylife.co.uk/edition.asp?edition=35

At the end of May Hilden House featured in the Jersey Evening Post:

“It (Hilden House) is a grand Georgian Town House which has been restored to create luxurious bedrooms in the heart of Cheltenham’s Pittville area.  Each ensuite room has been decorated very stylishly, mixing modern and vintage chic.

There is a beautiful courtyard area, and sitting in the dining room while sunshine streams through the windows to eat a home-cooked breakfast was a wonderful way to relax.

The B&B is run by Shelley and Aidan McGonigle, who make the perfect hosts – friendly and chatty as well as being very helpful and professional at all times.  They offered great advice on where to go and made bookings for us at local restaurants.”

The journalists at Manx Life have been similarly impressed with Hilden House and all that Cheltenham has to offer, as their latest edition featured a charming article on Cheltenham and The Cotswolds:

“Our base was the superb Hilden House Guest House – just a five-minute walk from the centre of town on Evesham Road, close to the Race Course.

Your hosts are Shelley and Aidan McGonigle who provide a homely yet professional and unobtrusive service.  Hilden House is within a beautiful Regency Terrace, and the hotel offers free parking permits for the road outside.  We were given a superior room at the front of the building and were impressed by both the space and attention to detail – it was like stepping back into the elegance of the Regency era but with all the mod cons.

Shelley and Aidan provide the kind of homely comforts no chain hotel could match.”
