The Olympic Torch and Labrinth coming to Cheltenham

The excitement in Cheltenham is building as it is only 9 days to go until the Olympic Torch will arrive in Cheltenham. On top of that it has just been announced that the famous rapper Labrinth will be headlining in a free concert at Cheltenham Racecourse that same evening.

On 23rd May the Olympic Torch will be carried through Cirencester, Stroud, Painswick, Brockworh and Shurdington before arriving in Cheltenham late that afternoon at around 5.45 pm. The torch will be carried on foot through the centre of town by a series of bearers and will pass right in front of Hilden House as it proceeds up Evesham Road all the way to the Racecourse. (Click on the attached link to map of Olympic Torch route through Cheltenham).

We have also been told that a mystery celebrity will be carrying the torch on the final run to the Racecourse and the evening’s free celebration event. For full details of this celebration visit .

We still have rooms available at Hilden House for a special birds-eye view of the passing torch. Plus don’t forget that you will also be walking distance from the Racecourse’s special event!
